The Grade 11 Physics class carried out the research for their Internal Assessment (IA) projects after the exams. These are worth a large part of their final result and have to be planned, executed and evaluated by the students themselves. We had a wide range of subjects this time, from the effect of string tension on the performance of tennis racquets to the change in the refractive index of water when sugar is added, the effect of temperature on lubricants to the effect of ear size on animal hearing. Everyone worked hard for two days to gather data for their project reports.
