Dr Westwood’s Grade 10 Science class have been studying the Reactivity Series in metals. With the help of Dr Feeney, they watched the vigorous reaction between aluminium powder and iron oxide, which gets so hot that it produces molten iron. You can see some photos of this brilliant reaction below.
