During our Phonics lesson this week, the SK students used alphabet cookies to make simple consonant-vowel-consonant (CVC) words. They were each given a word ending, such as ‘-at’ or ‘-an’ and had to choose from a plate of consonant cookies to make new words. They used their phonic sounds to ‘blend’ the letters to make lots of new words and then they ate all of the cookies! You can see some of their delicious words below.
