The students from both Grade 5 classes have been working on their research skills. Every week they are given a new research topic when they come to the Library. It is usually connected with the books that we’re reading together – “Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief” and “The Bridge to Terabithia”. The goal is for the students to be able to find accurate information online, write original texts, reference sources properly and think critically, all in preparation for the Grade 5 PYP Exhibition. The students have been also focusing on improving their own texts. When the texts or posters are ready, we display everything outside the Library for everyone to see and even comment on, if they’d like. Don’t forget to have a look next time you pass by the display!
